Bake for 20-25 minutes, until risen, golden and cooked. Make deep slashes with a sharp knife in the top of the dough and dust with flour. Set aside in a warm place for 40 minutes or until doubled in size. I raise the dough in a parchment paper lined bowl. Shape like a rugby ball and put onto an oiled, large baking sheet. Place a rack in the lower third of the oven and preheat it to 425☏. Cover the bowl and set aside in a warm spot to rise for 1 to 1 1/ 2 hours, until the dough has doubled in bulk. Add the water and mix until the water is absorbed and the dough comes together in a sticky ball. Stir in flour, mixing until there are no dry patches. I prefer to use a kitchen aid stand mixer. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, sugar, and yeast. In a large bowl or plastic container, mix yeast and salt into 3 cups lukewarm water (about 100 degrees). It can be baked in any type of dutch oven but for the round loaves, I find that the 7-10 quart enameled dutch ovens work the best. It’s simple to make and tastes so good!
